The Gold Standard — The Patient Medical Record

Our studies use the gold standard—the patient medical record—as the primary source document. We collect information on real-world treatment patterns and patient populations to generate comprehensive and robust datasets that can depict the sequence of therapy events from diagnosis to the most current period or patient visit. Typical data domains include information on prescribed treatments, dosing regimens, frequency of titrations/dosing adjustments, switching and discontinuation dynamics, length of therapy, frequency and type of adverse effects and strategies for their management, hospitalizations and length of stay, ER visits, laboratory tests/results, and referrals/consultations. High-level detail and data accuracy provide an in-depth understanding of clinical outcomes and the associated healthcare resource utilization.
